This beautiful rifle started out as an unstocked Uberti 1866 carbine. It is now an authentic miniature recreation of the presentation Maximilian Winchester 1866 carbine. The ivory stocks were made, and the high relief Mexican eagle with cactus and snake hand carved by master ivory carver Dennis Holland. The receiver and buttplate were engraved my master engraver Tom Hicks. The brass receiver, sideplates, and buttplate are silver plated. The receiver has another dipiction of the Mexican eagle with cactus and snake on the left sideplate, the balance of the left side and the complete right side scroll engraved. The left top of the receiver engraved "F. Maximiliano" The right top of the receiver engraved "Emperador de Mejico". Serial numbered 1 on the lower receiver tang.
