A one-of-a-kind 1/2 scale 1886 Winchester take-down short rifle made by master miniature maker Mike Barrett. The markings and engraving were all properly done by master engraver Roger Sampson, the action tuned and surface metal prep done by the late Terry Farrand, the deep blue and firey case color work done by Doug Turnbull. A gorgeous miniature in every regard. Modestly but expertly engraved in the "1 of 1000" style with gold bands and engraving at the muzzle and breach ends of the 20 inch barrel. Caliber markings are .45-70. The stock and forearm are super fancy figured walnut, nicely checkered, with a beautiful hand rubbed oil finish. The .22 caliber octagon barrel is rifled. The buttstock features a pistol grip with grip cap and crescent buttplate. The frame, lever, buttplate, bolt, hammer, trigger, grip cap, nosecap, and magazine support band are all case hardened in vibrant colors. The action locking bolts are finished bright. The screws and loading gate door are a bright fire blue. The balance of the metal is finely polished black blue. Fully functional and operates smooth as glass. Truely an investment quality miniature.
