This is a neat 1/2 scale miniature Borchardt semi-automatic pistol as made by Ludwig Loewe in Germany. This miniature was made by Miniart in Russia. 7" long overall with a 3 3/4" barrel. Blue finish with some of the small parts straw colored, in the white, or charcoal blue. Very nicely checkered walnut grips. Complete with the walnut shoulder stock, walnut cheakpiece, extra magazine, walnut action hold open, walnut tool handle, cleaning rod, 2 double ended screwdrivers, 2 double ended pin punches, oiler, and 3 rounds of solid brass dummy ammunition. The walnut tool handle is used for the cleaning rod, the screwdrivers, and the pin punches. The screwdriver blades and pin punches are stored inside the wooden action hold open. One of the most complex miniatures ever made.

The Loewe version was the first manufactured, with a production of 1000. Later Borchardt made some improvements which simplified the pistol with a reduced number of parts and less machining on the frame which made is easier to manufacture and less costly to produce. 2000 of these improved simplified versons were later made by DWM in Germany.
