This very well may be a United States Historical society prototype. Here you see a 47% scale Colt 1860 Army revolver with the ultra rare detachable shoulder stock AND the even more rare fluted cylinder. I have seen maybe 4 or 5 of these in the last 15 years, but I've never seen one in a USHS case! The Revolver: Typical great USHS/Uberti finish. Beautiful charcoal blue barrel, cylinder, wedge, trigger, backstrap, screws and stock fittings. Case colored frame, loading lever, loading rammer, and hammer. Brass triggerguard, stock yolk, and buttplate. Nice high gloss varnished finish straight grain grips and stock. Serial # 340 marked on the frame, barrel, triggerguard, backstrap, and stock yolk. The cylinder is not numbered. 44 CAL marked on the left side of the triggerguard. Colt's Patent marked on the left side of the frame. The barrel properly roll stamped with the barrel address. 99+% original finish and just about perfect in every way. The Case: The glass topped USHS case is exactly the same externally as the case for the shoulder stocked 61 Colt Navy revolver. The Colt logo is acid etched into the glass on the upper right corner. Internally it has been fit for the 1860 Army. The brass plaque inside the case is no question an original USHS 1860 Army plaque. The miniature is not centered in the case, and I believe that's because the stocks were the same, so they only changed the inletting on the revolver. The blueish grey velour lining has some brownish stains, mostly near the front. This is a super rare piece and a very nice addition for the USHS or Uberti collector. Price: $2,095.00

This is not your average Colt Walker revolver made by Uberti, this piece is beautifully engraved, but is not one of the U.S. Historical Society Presidential Series. This very early gun, serial # 3X was reportedly engraved by Aldo Uberti's brother and even the cylinder is serial numbered which is unusual. Charcoal blue and case colored finish with brass backstrap and triggerguard. The grips are beautifully finished rosewood. The top flat of the barrel is properly factory roll stamped with the Colt barrel address. The right side of the barrel lug is stamped US, 1847 in two lines just above the wedge screw. The engraving is extensive and includes full coverage of the barrel lug, frame, recoil shields, triggerguard, backstrap, and hammer. There is also some engraving at the muzzle of the barrel and at the pivot point of the loading lever. The cylinder is properly roll stamped with the Rangers and Indians scene. Cased in what looks to be an old case that someone has relined and includes a handmade powder flask that is carved from walnut. Beautiful mint condition except for some thinning of the blue on the round part of the barrel and some small cylinder stop drag marks near the cylinder stops. Additional photos available upon request.
